ABOUT ME
My name is Martin and I’m a UX designer, Strategist, Storyteller and Creative Problem Solver.
I always bring an analytical mind, curiosity, laughter and a deep care for good UX with me on any project or task – together with almost 20 years of experience and 200+ projects in the digital space.
My career has always been defined by projects, transformations and solving the “difficult cases”, either as a consultant, or been hired in to solve a complex task, like getting a product back on track, executing on new strategy or doing pre-analysis & design of a new platform or product.
WHAT I DO
Strategic User Research
User research should not just be testing an application to see what users like or do not like about it.
User Research should inform strategic decisions, be the basis for product roadmaps and be an essential part of your opportunity mapping.
I always work with clear value segments in both customers, non-customers and potential customers, mapping their journeys and the opportunities connected with these journeys.
Doing continuous discovery, interviews and desk research to constantly validate the user or customer landscape is a must to steer your product or business the right way.
Design Thinking Facilitation
Just as I help developing the understanding of users and customers through strategic user research, I help develop ideas and decisions through design thinking.
Gathering all stakeholders around a common understanding of the problem, and together explore, test and validate ideas and hypothesis’ make for better decision making, fewer silos and a common goal.
Design Leadership
Besides mastering prototyping, usability, user testing and all the other core competencies you need as a UX’er, I love sharing my knowledge, skills and experiences, but also to learn from my colleagues and develop together.
I strive to create a culture of knowledge sharing and mentoring, creating a strong and competent design team that can act as the ambassadors for the users throughout the product organization
